MercyworX Update

This week, 14 student scholars gathered for the MercyworX Summer Institute - a collaborative program for college credit at Georgian Court University and sponsored by the Center for FaithJustice. This program was made possible in large part by the generous scholarship support of the parish of Saint Ann and several individual donors. Twelve students of this year's cohort are from our parish! In addition to classroom study, students completed more than 20 hours of community service at the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Visitation Relief Center. We are so proud of them and grateful for your support and prayers! THANK YOU. God is good - all the time!

Wedding Congratulations

We congratulate

Francis Masterson and Gina Dinki

who were married last weekend. We offer them our prayers and support as they begin to live their life together.

Monthly Food Collection

FOOD ITEMS NEEDED TO HELP THOSE IN NEED

LOCAL FOOD BANKS ARE LOW ON FOOD

Just a reminder that the second Sunday of every month is "Food Drive Sunday." In an effort to increase the supply of food we donate locally, we are encouraging all of our parishioners to bring in a bag of groceries on the second Sunday of every month.

Items needed are: cereal, cranberry juice, deodorant, detergent, canned vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, pasta sauce, shampoo, soap, toilet tissue, rice, napkins, soups, stuffing, tuna, and jelly.

If you forget, don't worry, we'll take them on any Sunday. You can leave your bag of non-perishable food items in the lobby of the church. At present, we send this food to Mt. Carmel Guild, the Lawrence Community Center (HomeFront), and Better Community Housing. Thanks for your support.

Centering Prayer

All are welcome to this silent prayer practice in which we experience God's presence within us. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship....a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion with Christ. Join us at any time, on any date you can.

MORNING Centering Prayer: This group meets monthly,

usually on the 2nd Monday at 10 AM in the Spiritual Direction Room. The next meeting is: July 10, 2017.

Any questions, please call Mary Malley (609) 896-8193 or email mary.malley@

EVENING Centering Prayer: This group meets twice a

month, usually the 2nd and the 4th Sundays at 7 PM on the second floor in the room to the left of the stairs, in the Spiritual Direction Room. The July meetings are: July 9 and 30, 2017.

Any questions, please call Patty Creech at 1 (908) 500-7089 or at pattyos1210@.

Food donations: Please take a tag from the display at the doors of the church and return the food item by July 16, 2017.

Monetary donations: Please take an envelope from the display and return your donation by July 16, 2017.

Volunteer your time:

Friday, July 21, 2017 at 4:00 PM gather at Saint Ann's to transport all donations to Saint Mary's Cathedral.

Peter's Pence Collection

Thank you for your generous support of our Holy Father's charitable works through the Peter's Pence Collection. Our contributions will be combined with those from our brothers and sisters around the world to help Pope Francis provide essential relief to people in need. Your generosity is an act of solidarity with the universal church, answering the call to become a witness of charity. May God bless you.

CYO Volunteer Director

We are looking for a volunteer (or volunteers) to coordinator and oversee our parish youth sports program (CYO, Catholic Youth Organization), namely CYO basketball in the fall/winter season and soccer/track in the spring season. The purpose of the CYO Program is to provide an enjoyable, instructive and positive sporting environment where participants can learn the fundamentals of a sport, teamwork, and other life skills consistent with our Christian faith. CYO plays a competitive schedule against other Catholic parishes in Mercer County. The parish provides the support and resources for the smooth running of the program.

We are hoping to get a person (or persons) in place as soon as possible. Those interested should contact Gary Maccaroni at 609-882-6491, or at gmacc@.
