Canvasback Music/Atlantic recording artists Grouplove have announced plans to headline the 2013 Campus Consciousness Tour. Dates kick off at Kent State University in Kent, OH, on October 24th, and immediately follow the band’s sold out “Seesaw Tour” and Austin City Limits Festival appearances (see attached itinerary). For on sale dates and other information, please visit tour.

Joining Grouplove on the 2013 Campus Consciousness Tour are NYC-based, electronic duo The Knocks and F-Stop/Atlantic labelmates Saints of Valory, who recently released their debut “Possibilities” EP. Grouplove and The Knocks have collaborated on a new remix to herald the tour – Grouplove’s “Ways To Go” (The Knocks remix) is streaming here (). Half music tour, half environmental and social consciousness campaign, the annual Campus Consciousness Tour brings top musical acts to college campuses across the country in an effort to raise awareness about environmental and social issues. Past performers include fun., Drake, Janelle Monáe, Passion Pit, and Ben Harper among others. For more information, please visit .

The dates follow Grouplove’s own “Seesaw Tour,” featuring two-night stands in eleven cities across the country. The first night is electric; the second night is stripped down/acoustic, with all performances taking place in intimate settings, including legendary clubs, historic sites, and obscure or rarely used venues. After standing out at music festivals around the world, Grouplove will make their inaugural appearance at this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival.

This week, National Public Radio’s “First Listen” program is exclusively streaming Grouplove’s highly anticipated album “SPREADING RUMOURS,” in advance of its September 17th release. The entire album can be heard at .

Grouplove have a weeklong slate of activities in their hometown of Los Angeles to celebrate the release of “SPREADING RUMOURS.” “I’m With You – The Artwork of Hannah Hooper from Grouplove,” a 3-day art installation featuring original paintings, album art, and other artwork from the band’s frontwoman, opens on Tuesday, September 17th (see attached art installation location/times). The free, public event is presented by Chipotle Mexican Grill, with proceeds from sales of a limited edition poster to benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. Following back-to-back, sold out shows – at the legendary Troubadour on Tuesday, September 17th, and a special acoustic set at The Masonic Lodge at the Hollywood Forever cemetery on Wednesday, September 18th – Grouplove is set for a nationally televised appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, September 19th.

In other news, “Ways To Go,” the lead single from “SPREADING RUMOURS” has hit the Top 5 on the Alternative radio chart. The track’s companion music video – directed by Cameron Duddy – is in rotation at MTV2, mtvU, and Fuse, and already accumulated over 1.8million views on YouTube (). Grouplove recently unveiled an animated video for the album track “Borderlines & Aliens” (), created by NYC-based animation studio Ace & Son and based on original artwork by the band’s own Hannah Hooper.

Grouplove came together in 2009 and soon were hailed as a great live act, both as headliners and at such international festivals as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading + Leeds Festivals, and Glastonbury. “NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG” arrived in 2011, making a stellar chart debut among the top 5 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” album chart for new and developing acts. Produced by the band’s own Ryan Rabin, the acclaimed album was highlighted by the debut single, “Colours” which received critical acclaim and climbed to the top reaches at Alternative radio outlets nationwide.

“Tongue Tied,” the second single from “NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG,” proved an even greater success, earning RIAA platinum certification for sales in excess of 1 million while spending 3 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Alternative airplay chart. By year’s end, the track became Alternative radio’s second most-played song of 2012, following only Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.”   The third single, “Itchin’ On A Photograph” also reached the Top 10 at Alternative radio.

Grouplove’s dynamic live sets continued to win over fans on a pair of headline tours, both of which saw sold out crowds at every stop, including a hometown finale at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles.  That same undeniable energy was seen in an array of high profile television appearances, including CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman, NBC’s TODAY and Tonight Show with Jay Leno, TBS’ Conan, and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Grouplove is:  Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums).
