Principal Reminder

Year Long Stipends-

Stipends must be submitted by Wednesday, January 11, 2017 to ensure payment is received on Friday January 27, 2017. Failure to submit by the deadline will result in delayed payments. All teacher/ teacher type employees received an equivalent of one step for the 16/17 SY. Because of this increase, stipends will be paid based on the current step in the portal. Classified employees will be paid based on the stipend amount received 13/14 SY.

Middle School Basketball Championship

It's that time again for the SCIAA Middle School Basketball Championships. The 2016-17 season has featured some of the best skilled players we've seen in a few years.

Here are a few boys' teams to watch in the play-offs. The 2016 TMSAA reigning champions of Bellevue Middle, Sherwood Middle, Mt. Pisgah Middle, and Kingsbury Middle are all contenders for the Small School Championship. In the Large Schools division there is the dominance of the White Station Spartans, a savvy Highland Oaks team, and a surprising Havenview Middle School team.

In girls action, watch out for competitiveplay in the Small School division with the Lady Bobcats of Bellevue Middle, the stifling defense of Sherwood Middle, and the length of Lester Prep Middle. In the Large School girls' division there is the 2016 TMSAA runner-up Colonial Patriots, White Station Middle, and the Ladies of Hickory Middle who are always one game away from history.

The play-off will begin January 12th and end on January 23th. The SCIAA Gym will host the games on January 19st, 21st, and the Royal Court on the 23rd.

Official brackets will be posted on the SCIAA website with times and locations.

Middle School Spring Sports

The Middle School Spring Sports Meeting (except Track) will be held at the SCIAA Office, January 23rd at 4:00 pm. All Coaches must be in attendance. If your school plans on participating in spring sports that you did not participate in last year, please contact the sports coordinator. We are working hard to prepare for the upcoming Spring Sports Seasons.

Athletic Director Professional Development

The Tennessee Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association will hold the 27th Tennessee State Athletic Directors Conference at the Embassy Suites Holes in Murfreesboro, TN. The Conference will take place April 2-4, 2017. The SCIAA urges all of our Athletic Directors to be members of the TIAAA and attend this conference.
