Focus will be on juniors and seniors who have not met graduation requirement. Program schedule ideas were discussed.SAT School Day will be April 13. All agreed with interest.New Business: FORMTEXT ECOLLIER ACADEMY 21-22 SCHOOL YEARdiscussion FORMTEXT Updates on the status of eCollier Academy for SY21-22 is pending. Mr. Bremseth anticipates more information soon.INSTRUCTIONAL UPDATES: FORMTEXT Quarter 2 Benchmarks and CTE TestingState Required Mental Health Instructiondiscussion FORMTEXT Mr. Bremseth indicated QB2 performance from SY20-SY21 was maintained. Attendance was met. BC at or above district average. Specifics in each tested area were reviewed. ELA indicators show we are moving closer to (SIP) goals.State mandated mental health modules will be implemented schoolwide in the month of February. Modules willbe presented via district video information with class discussion to be facilitated by teachers. Counselors are conducting mental health groups during the modules and joining classroom discussions for support. Budget review / requests: FORMTEXT TD Guest teacher fundingdiscussion FORMTEXT Mr. Bremseth moved forward a $1,200 request to cover 10 guest teachers to free teachers up for PLC's. Teachers will be given a 2-period block for joint planning and instructional support. Lisa Mair made a motion to approve.Mr. Walters seconded. MISC. ITEMS: FORMTEXT School-wide activities updateSchool facilities updates and schedulediscussion FORMTEXT Mr. Bremseth shared that spring sports are underway. Senior activities are a work in progress. Senior prom still under consideration in some format/venue. Grad Bash at Disney is canceled. Senior Awards will be in oerson though venue, format, and attendance allowances are uncertain at this time. Graduation decision will come in a media release immediately following the school board meeting on 2/9/21. School facilities are readying for summer improvements. Campus improvements include: new carpet for media & counseling office, new paint (internal & external), new entryway (main & gym), JROTC obstacle course construction. OPEN AGENDA (Public Input): FORMTEXT A brief discussion was held on dress code change proposals. Leggings can be brought forward for a further discussion and vote. Mr. Bremseth is open to a potential change. Mrs. Hunter will return the topic to the Discipline Committee for further review and input. Mrs. Lorrie Crisci and instructional non-member, Miss Emily Bajema, addressed the school's GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) and shared the suggestion for GSA to be used a resourse for staff understanding. Creating affirmed allies in the school community are a key goal for GSA and is a recommended improvement to school culture. District Counseling Coordinator, Allison Ferraro, will attend next GSA meeting. Mr. Bremseth will help coordinate staff understanding with GSA advisor support. Initiative will help facilitate our DEI objectives (Diversity Equity Inclusion).A brief grade comparison was presented by Mr. Bremseth to highlight the impact of virtual learning. Q1, Q2, and S1 grades for SY20 were compared to Q1, Q2, and S1 for SY21. Data reveals F's are significantly up from last school year. BC faculty continue to encourage in school learning model. Students who are not meeting with success as VA or VS students are being encouraged to return to physical school.
