provides exemptions for the ACCA Fundamentals Level (Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills), AB to FM papers (previously named F1 to F9)

It can help you build towards long-term success, with both financial and management accounting skills, for a variety of roles in practice or commerce.

If you have passed the ACCA Fundamentals Level, or have exemptions because of your undergraduate study, this approach will suit your path towards getting ACCA exam-qualified.

Having ACCA exam-qualified status is an important requirement towards becoming an ACCA Affiliate member. In addition, you will also need to pass background checks and complete an online ethics module.

What will you learn? The Professional Level is divided into two modules: Essentials and Options. All learners have to pass both papers in the Essentials module. While the Options module contains a choice of four papers, from which you must complete two.

Essentials module These two exams build upon the technical skills from the Fundamentals Level (Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills modules). They explore advanced professional skills, techniques and values that are required to act as an expert accountant in an advisory or consultancy role at senior level.

Options module This level builds on your existing technical knowledge. It will explore advanced professional skills, techniques and values that are required at a senior level by accountants working in an advisory or consultancy role.

Progression upon completion

Upon successful completion of this course and all external ACCA exams, you will have ACCA exam-qualified status, which is one of the key requirements to becoming an Affiliate member.

To become a fully qualified chartered accountant you must have completed and submitted your mandatory Practical Experience Requirements.

How is your programme structured? You will study the following modules as part of the ACCA Professional Level Papers:

Essentials module

Strategic Business Leader (30 credits)

An innovative case study module on governance and making strategic decisions. By using real-world scenarios students will develop technical, professional and ethics skills in the evaluation and presentation of

their responses.

Strategic Business Reporting (30 credits)

Develop the skills needed to speak the language of business, and the ability to explain reports and the impacts of transactions to a variety of stakeholders.

Options module

Choose two from four modules (30 credits per module)

Advanced Financial Management Gives an understanding of what is expected of a senior financial executive regarding the financial management of an organisation.

Advanced Performance Management Teaches how to evaluate

business performance through the application of strategic management

accounting techniques.

Advanced Taxation How to apply relevant knowledge and skills gained from Taxation paper (Fundamental Level) to evaluate the impact of major taxes, focusing on the financial decisions of both

individuals and organisations.

Advanced Audit and Assurance Teaches how to obtain, plan,

control and conclude both audit and assurance engagements.
