Using Internet Explorer

Default way to access the world online

This is called a web browser (a window) to access the World Wide Web.

It is this window that you use to send and receive email online, upload your digital photos and search the Internet.

Favorites can be set up to save bookmarked URLs that you use most often.

Creating an Internet E-mail Address

Select the application where you would like to have your email.

AOL

Comcast

Gmail

Hotmail

Verizon

Yahoo

Think about ease of use (usability), where and how do you want to read, send and receive your email, and username availability.

After you decide, select from one of the above applications.

Creating an Internet E-mail Address using Google Gmail

Using your web browser

Go to

Click on Gmail

Click on Create an Account

Fill in all of the blanks

Click on: I accept. Create my account.

Sending E-mail attachments

How to send digital photos or documents as attachments:

Sign-in to your account

Create new email

Under Message, select Attach

Right click under Attached: and select your image or file to be attached

Address the email to whom you want to send the attachment to

Click Send email

Send attachments one at a time because the files tend to be large in size.

Follow these directions:

1. Create a New Account - it's free.

2. Fill in the blanks – Click Create Account

3. Click on Upload

        a. Enter the Title of your album

        b. Enter the album date

        c. Optional - enter a description and use the filenames as photo titles       

4. Click on the yellow Continue button

5. Open the Picture Folder - this is the folder where you downloaded the photos from your camera to your desktop.

        a. If you are using a PC it can usually be found here:

C:\Documents and Settings\HP Owner\MyDocuments\MyPictures\2009_05_09

b. Then you can just drag and drop your photos into the space provided

or Click Browse (but it's easier to drag and drop).

6. When you are all finished, Click Upload.

7. Upload usually takes a while, depending on the speed of your connection and how many photos you have.

8. When it's finished, you can Click Share (to email your photo album to your friends and family).

9. Type or Copy and Paste your email addresses of whom you want to Share your photos with and create an email group to save and use for next time.

10. Kodak Gallery will send you a copy and send your photo album to those on your list.
