MY NEW EMAIL ADDRESS
? Will my email address be changing? Yes, as part of the transition, you will convert to an Ochsner email account.
? What will my new Ochsner email be? The format of your Ochsner email will be FirstName.LastName@.
? How can I access email on my phone? Please see the instructions for accessing Ochsner email on both iOS and Android devices included at the end of this document.
? Can everyone access Ochsner email via Microsoft Outlook on their phones? If not, then who? All Android and iPhone users can access mobile email using the Microsoft outlook app.
? What is Ochsner's email retention policy? The Ochsner Microsoft Outlook retention policy is 365 days for all items. Once you delete an email in Outlook, it will go into the Deleted Items folder for 7 days. After 7 days, the items in the Deleted Items folder will be permanently deleted. See Policy OHS.LEG.005 here for additional details.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE TRANSITION PERIOD?
? When will I receive my new email address? Yes, you will receive an Ochsner email address the week of February 11, 2019. At orientation you should have received your Ochsner ADID number and instructions detailing how to access your Ochsner account the first time. The instructions are also included at end of this document.
? Will any of my CHRISTUS email migrate over? Or, will I have to manually move my email to my new Ochsner account? You will need to migrate any emails you would like to keep. You can do this manually by forwarding emails from your current CHRISTUS email to your new Ochsner email account.
? If I have to manually move email, how much time will I have to move email from my old CHRISTUS email to my new Ochsner email account? You will 30 days after go-live (until Tuesday, March 19) to forward any emails from your CHRISTUS email account to your Ochsner email account.
? Will I be able to import contacts from my CHRISTUS email to my new Ochsner email? You will not be able to import contacts from your CHRISTUS email to your Ochsner email.
? What happens to my email distribution groups? You will not be able to transfer any email distribution groups to your Ochsner email.

? How do I log in to my Ochsner email account? If this is your first time logging into the Ochsner Network, please use this process, as we urge you to enroll in MyPassword: Please follow the instructions below, based on your needs: If you will be using an Ochsner Workstation: 1. Log into the Workstation 2. Reset your password 3. Log into mypassword. 4. Enroll in Ochsner's self-service password reset application (Enrollment Instructions) If you will need access to OHSLINK, Kiosk, VPN, etc: 5. Log into mypassword. 6. Reset your original password 7. Enroll in Ochsner's self-service password reset application (Enrollment Instructions)

Ochsner Email on Your Device ? Outlook for iOS
Setup Ochsner Email on your Device with Outlook Step 1 - Installing Outlook for iOS
1. Visit the Apple App Store on iOS. 2. Search for Outlook. Tap Install. 3. Download and install Microsoft Outlook on your device. Wait for the install to finish
completely before moving on to adding your account. Then tap Open. 4. When the app opens, tap Get Started. 5. Enter your email address. Tap Add Account. 6. Then you are redirected to the Ochsner Portal to authenticate Step 2 - Log in to the Ochsner Portal (Sign-On Screen) Your device will automatically re-direct your email setup to the Ochsner Portal. 1. Enter your Ochsner username and password, then tap Sign On. 2. Identity Verification - select a method such as one-time message to your phone number or
answering your personal security questions. Tap Continue. a. Confirm your phone number (if you selected SMS message) and tap Continue. b. If you answered the questions, tap Continue when finished. c. Select the button for "Yes, I plan on using this computer to access my account in the future." d. Tap Go.
3. Once completed, you can view the Microsoft Outlook tips, or tap Skip.
4. When Microsoft Outlook asks for Notification permission, tap Turn On. Then tap Allow.
Step 3 ? Finishing Outlook Setup Your email, contacts, and calendar will download into Outlook for iOS. Please be patient as this can take a while. Contact the Service Desk (504-842-3610) if you require assistance.
