Students may take no more than two of ACC 3202, 3000, 3100 and 3200 in any one semester. [TAX 3300

is not included in this restriction and may be taken with two other accounting courses.]

To be eligible to complete the accounting major students must achieve a GPA of at least 2.5 in these

four courses: ACC 3202, 3000, 3100 & 3200.

In order to enroll in ACC 4100 and ACC 5400 concurrently, graduating seniors must have an overall

Baruch GPA of 3.2 or higher and a minimum 3.2 average GPA in ACC 3000, ACC 3100, ACC 3200, and

ACC 3202 (only grades earned at Baruch count in the calculation). An online application must be

submitted through the Zicklin School of Business website.

Accountants collect, maintain, and analyze financial records for organizations and compile reports for the use

of managers, investors, creditors, regulators, and tax authorities. The 120 credit Accountancy major prepares

students for many accounting-related jobs, and some roles require a Master¡¯s Degree or 150 credit Certified

Public Accountant (CPA) designation. CPA¡¯s must pass a national exam and meet additional requirements.
