Job Title: Accounting Associate Department: Accounting
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
General Summary:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for providing financial and administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations. The Accounting Associate must comply with established policies and procedures and provide support to various positions within the Accounting Department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support Services:
• Post ancillary charges, as needed.
• Post payments to respective resident accounts.
• Perform monthly billing and collection activity for all lines of business.
• Record necessary information for new vendors.
• Maintain updated vendor files.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable and enters invoices, as needed.
2. Administrative Services:
• Assist residents and family members.
• Direct calls and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain resident active and inactive paper files.
• Coordinate incoming mail distribution.
3. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education: High school degree or equivalent, preferably with a business-related curriculum.
Experience: Three to five years of clerical experience.
Physical Demands: Able to access all Lucy Corr service areas and travel to locations of strategic partners. Occasionally required to maneuver items up to 25 lbs. using principles of proper body mechanics. Obtains appropriate assistance (i.e., mechanical devices, manpower, etc.) in cases when weight to be maneuvered exceeds this weight.
