Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Department: Finance

Reports To: Director of Treasury, Tax & Audit

FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Analyzes revenue and assists in management of revenue cycle. Recommends process improvement of cash management, customer management and sales administration. Liaison for revenue issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversees daily accounts receivable and cash application processes including invoice submission to customers to ensure prompt payment.

• Solicits payment on overdue accounts and recommends payment arrangements when necessary.

• Interfaces with NAI sales, quoting, planning, shipping and other departments to resolve open issues

• Review and manage pending Returned Materials Authorizations (RMAs) with specific plant location Quality team members

• Ensures regular account statements are distributed to customers and helps resolves any outstanding issues.

• Reprints invoices and provides to customers upon request.

• Supports new customer onboarding by securing trade references, printing DNB reports and submitting completed information packet to supervisor for review and approval.

• Assists in global management of contract depository (NDAs, contract scorecard, etc.)

• Aids in processing of customer payments including preparing manual bank deposits

• May provide assistance to Accounting/Finance group with month end close

• Facilitates preparation of documents for annual, external audit

• Supports site Scottsdale director with coordination and maintenance of office and breakroom supplies

• May interface with property management company regarding facilities maintenance and general upkeep

• Oversees document management at offsite facility for Scottsdale location

• Misc. projects as required

• Additional duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to interface effectively with associates, vendors and customers.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting plus 1 year experience in business or

office administration

• Experience analyzing corporate credit histories and making credit recommendations.

• Well organized, detail oriented and thorough experience creating and maintaining customized

Excel spreadsheets.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Detailed oriented, well organized and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in Accounting preferred

Manufacturing experience a plus
