You will also be asked to complete some self-evaluations so management can place you where your strengths will be put to good use. In addition, you will be given a couple of basic tasks so that you are comfortable at the office. There is not much to do until your email gets set up and all the HR papers completed, your security badge is delivered and your keys are available for you.Tuesday to Thursday You will be working with operations and marketing to assist with preparations for the upcoming conference. Your tasks have been broken down into daily assignments to assist you with time management. Important company information and a brief style and procedures guide has been provided to you. (Background and Course Info booklet).Read this manual to familiarize you with the contents before beginning any of today’s jobs. You will want to refer to this important document throughout this simulation.Make a list to go over with your manager the last ? hour of your day. It is important that you make good use of your meeting time with each manager. In order that the company can place you where your skills will be best utilized, the first thing you are required to do is complete a self-evaluation.Using the template found in the LMS Doc sharing Mark a Capital and Bold X in the box of your choice.Once you have completed Day 1 Job 1, submit the document in the correct basket in the LMS. When your instructor has marked this assignment, you will receive an email with your mark.On the marked evaluation a mark of-90–100% your contract would be extended-70– 89% -you would be interviewed for a position-69% or lower you would not continue after your 3 month contract. b) Journal assignment 1- Complete this in Microsoft Word and email it to your instructor when you receive your evaluation back!! Record the following transactions in the cheque register. Note: the “cheque” column is for recording money being paid out by your company-(i.e. issuing a cheque for), and the “amount of deposit” column is for recording money coming into the company (the company is being paid).The starting balance for the month was $4,500.56. Format numbers in accounting format with 2 decimals.Job 3: ARMA Files List [10 marks]Open the Files List Template located in Student Resources in LMS.You have received a list of new clients that are to be invited to an upcoming fundraiser. New files will need to be created for each client. You have been asked to start with a new file list. Standardization of alphabetic filing rules is very important because it allows office procedures to be consistent and efficient.Type the names in their proper filing units, using the ARMA standardized rules. These rules can be found in the Pitman Office Handbook on page 174 (your text for this course), or you may use “Rules for Alphabetic Filing”, an alphabetic filing standards booklet from your instructor. When the list is complete, save the document as “Fundraiser List” and submit it to the Dropbox in LMS.JOB 4: Pitman Office Handbook Research [10 marks]Download/open the Pitman Office Handbook Research template located in Student Resources in LMS. ABC Explorations Inc. administrative staff uses the Pitman Office Handbook as a reference guide. To familiarize yourself with this book, use the handbook to complete the assignment. When complete, save your document as “Pitman Office Handbook Research” and submit it in the LMS Dropbox. The list of words corresponding to alphabetic letters can be viewed on page 24. You will need to perform a search of your textbook in order to located the human rights and meetings information. ................
