• January 2005 – July 2005 – Blackfyne Community School, Consett, County Durham – Head of Modern Foreign Languages Department : Due to long-term sickness absence, I became Acting Head of Department over this period. COMETE are a charitable organisation who work in countries such as the Republic of Congo, providing ICT tools and training to better aid development and communication. I have translated all manner of documents for this organisation.

• 2002-2003 – Raised departmental achievement by taking a group through GCSE 1 year early. Results for these pupils were all between A* and B Grade.
• 2003-2004 – Set up the first ever A Level Course at Blackfyne community school and led this course through its infancy. I am continuing to look at how we can expand this course so we increase the number of pupils taking it.
