The Acellus Online-Full Distance Learning Program will resume on August 4, 2020. There is no cost to parents and the school will be monitoring student progress. It is fully accredited and endorsed by the Hawaii Department of Education. Students do earn credit for each course successfully completed.

Elective Credits: Beyond your core required classes, a student may choose 1-2 elective credits offered with Acellus from the list on the back of this letter. Academic Progress and Attendance: Attendance and academic progress will be monitored daily by adult monitors (assigned teachers and EAs). Students must work a minimum of five (5) hours daily to stay on track with course completion. If a student is having difficulty, he/she should email the instructor on record to get support. The adult monitors and parents can also view the students' progress live to pinpoint where a student is in a lesson or unit. Computers: If your son/daughter is in need of a computer, you may pick this up at the same time the forms are received at the Kohala High School office. Enrollment: Students can enroll in Semester 1 and / or Semester 2. Once a student is enrolled, the student must complete the Semester. Students are not able to return to the blended learning model (face-to-face and online) in the middle of a semester.

Kohala High School will enroll your son/daughter after we receive the attached documents: 1. Online Distance Learning Application with signatures

2. Student Computer Contract with signatures (if needed).

Kindly return the enclosed forms to the Kohala High School office on or before August 4, 2020.
