1. CALL TO ORDER/FLAG SALUTE: 6:01

2. MINUTES: -There was a motion to approve the minutes of January 23, 2020. Motion-Director Hedrick Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No 0

3. CONSENT AGENDA: - There was a motion to approve the agenda as presented with the addition of 7.4 Pandemic Preparedness, 7.5 Homelink Curriculum Approval, 7.6 Out of Endorsed Teacher Approval, 7.7 Staff Resignation/Reassignment Letter. Motion-Director Hanson Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4 No-0

3.1 Financials-There was a motion to approve the financials as presented. Motion-Director Berg Second Director Hanson Vote-Yes-4, No-0

There was a motion to have Superintendent Baribault check into promoting/advertising the Homelink program, possibly with brochures, to attract more students. Superintendent Baribault will check into it and get back to the board. Motion-Chairman Peters Second-Director Hedrick Vote-Yes-4, No-0

5. REPORTS/ GOOD NEWS! OTHER: 5.1 Superintendent's Report-Don Baribault Discussion Topics:

? New streetlights at our school crosswalks. Thanks to the Northport Mayor for asking Avista to install them at no cost.

? Rural Alliance-Still working on the Early Learning pilot. There will be a second visit to the group of seven schools that were approved. We are waiting on the funding approval from the Gates Foundation.

? SPED Teacher-Sally Oxford, our current Special Ed. teacher, decideQ~~t~eave us for health reasons. We have hired retired teacher Karma Goodwin to~sje~ in and finish the rest of the school year in Special Ed. ESD will help with her certif~ation requirements and former SPED teacher Bethany Nokes will lend a hand as~ell.

5.2 Principal Report-Terry Carlson Discussion Topics:

? Provided the Board with "A Day in the Life of a Student" which included a variety of pictures from Auto Shop, Robotics and the Elementary classrooms.

5.3 Board Reports? Legislative-Director Berg reported that there are a lot of dead bills in legislation. There is a Special Ed bill that is still alive. This bill would increase the multiplier for funding. Also there are a couple of SEBB bills still alive. There are three more weeks left in the session.

? Maintenance/Grounds-Director Smith was absent.

Academics/WIAA-Directbr Hedrick reported that we should have MAPS scores soon. Also, winter sports have wrapped up. There was a Sports Awards Banquet for the winter athletes. The girls' high school basketball team went the furthest in standings that they've ever been and tied the record for the most wins in twenty years. The high school boys' team coach Jim Hanson is very proud of their accomplishments. Spring sports start Monday. There will be HS Softball, HS Track, Jr. High Baseball and Jr. High Track. There will be no HS Baseball for the first time ever due to lack of turnout.

6. OLD BUSINESS: 6.1 Levy Update-Superintendent Baribault reported that we have received the stamped, certified Oath of Authenticity from Steven's County stating the passing of our Levy Election. 6.2 Consolidated Review Update-Superintendent Baribault reported that we met our submission date early. There have been some easy fixes coming back so far. We should receive recommendations on things we can improve on by May ~ 6.3 Four day week-Superintendent Baribault reported that a staff committee, both the PSE and the NEA have met to discuss the four day week. The feeling so far is positive. The next step is to fill out the waiver and survey the community, staff and parents. If there is a community meeting the board asks that the committee make it happen prior the end of March so some of the board can attend.

7. NEW BUSINESS: 7.1 Calendar- There was a motion to approve the 2020-2021 school calendar as presented to the board. Motion Director Hedrick Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No-C 7.2 Teacher Resignations-There was a motion to approve the resignations of Sally Oxford, Special Ed. and John Roberts, 5th grade. Motion-Director Hedrick Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No-C 7.3 Policy Review: # 3424 Opioid Related Overdose Reversal-There was a motion to approve the updated WSSDA version as presented. Motion Director Hedrick Second-Director Hanson Vote-Yes-4, No-C

#3510 Associated Student Bodies-There was a motion to approve the updated WSSDA version as presented. Motion-Director Hanson Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes 4, No-C #6700-Nutrition, Health, and Physical Education-There was a motion to approve the updated WSSDA version as presented to the board. Motion-Director Hedrick Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No-C 7.4 Pandemic Preparedness-(COVID-19) Superintendent Baribault reported that at this time the recommendation from ESD, Spokane Regional Health District and the Tn-County Health District is to follow what the CDC and Tn-County Health District recommends. We would follow their guidelines in the case of an emergency school closure. However, the School District has the option to close schools based on the level of risk determined by the Administration. The Board requested that the School Administration keep staff, students and parents informed of ongoing updated recommendations on staying healthy. 7.5 There was a motion to approve the Homelink curriculum as presented to the board.

Motion Director Hedrick Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes 4, No-C 7.6 Out of Endorsed Teacher Approval-There was a motion to approve Terry Carlson to teach/monitor the following Acellus courses for one year. College Prep., Geography, Environmental Science, Integrated Math, Investigating Careers, Music Appreciation, and Spanish Il as well as ALL OTHER ACELLUS COURSES INCLUDING CTE COURSES. Motion-Director Hanson Second-Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No-C

7.7 Staff Resignation/Reassignment Letter-Superintendent Baribault thanked Principal Carison for all her hard work and said he struggles with the idea of not getting to work with her next year. Principal Carlson plans to return to the classroom in a teaching capacity that is yet to be determined. There was a motion to accept Principal Carison's letter of resignation for the 2020-21 school year. Motion-Director Hedrick Second Director Berg Vote-Yes-4, No 0
