Substitutions will be accepted at any time, if pre-course material and book is given to substitute.The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.Course Requirements:Must be presently certified in Basic Life Support (Healthcare provider level). Must present card at registration. New Course Format:The course is now a one-day course for providers and recerts together. Students are responsible for much more information on their own. You must complete pre-course assessment and pass with a grade of 80 or higher. Students not achieving 80 or higher should not take the course until more preparation has occurred (example: basic rhythm course, review of pharmacology). The pre-course assessment may be taken multiple times. Pre-test located on website.Helpful review information is on the website listed in the book (rhythm and pharmacology review). You must have computer access to complete pre-course materials and view study materials.Students who cannot read rhythms will not be allowed to take the course. Unlike in the past where there was extra help, you are now expected to be proficient with these skills before registering.
