Carl Haanappel

An impressionist painter with over 25 years’ experience as a professional artist, Carl’s work draws great inspiration from people and subjects vary over a broad range of situations and environments, all captured with the unique perception that is hallmark of a great impressionist. Carl's preferred medium is watercolour, but through years of experience, he has developed a wide flexibility in technique, allowing him to utilise different materials to accommodate different subjects.

Meath Conlan

Over the past 30 years Dr Meath Conlan has been a counsellor and spiritual director to hundreds of men and women from all walks of life. His cartoons (from the Italian, kartone) are from the original form of drawing of a full-size pattern for execution in painting, tapestry, mosaic, or other art-form. Many of his Meath’s paintings are pen and watercolour wash cartoons and represent his significant travels around the world.

Brad Kay

A regular participant in the Military Art Program, Brad has a military background and previous experience with various mediums and a range of visual arts. Brad’s latest art experience he has mastered is creating art through wood burning combing drawing, burning and staining of timber to create unique and stunning artworks. Brad exhibited with MAPA in June 2016 and has sold several works, with his first commission of wood burn art under way. This is Brad’s first class for MAPA and we are very excited to have him share his techniques with other military members.

Robert Chambers

A proficient and amazing artist, Robert has been facilitating a Perth life drawing group for over 4 years and conducts regular classes at various locations across Perth. Growing in popularity, life drawing is the activity of drawing the human figure from a live model. Models are nude and present in poses under instruction from Robert who then instructs the class and individuals in drawing techniques using charcoal or pencil to capture the body form. These can then be enhanced with ink or watercolour wash.
