Re: ACT 126 CHILD ABUSE ONE HOUR SITUATIONS TRAINING

Hello East Stroudsburg Staff:

As you may be aware, all school employees, substitutes, coaches and volunteers are required to participate in Act 126 Child Abuse Reporting Training. As a staff member that has close interaction with students, you are required to take this training. Once you have successfully completed the online training, you will be required to attend a one hour ESASD face-to-face Situations Training, schedule below. Please plan to complete the online course and one hour Situations Training within sixty (60) days of your board approved employment or recertification with our District.

4. Attend one of the ESASD offered one hour “Situations” training listed below. You are required to bring the online certificate to the training you choose to attend.

You must complete the online UPitt program and attend the above follow up training to complete the Child Abuse Reporting Training. *You are required to bring with you the printed certificate from the online training to the Situations Training class if it is not already on file in our HR office.

Lastly, the Act 126 training is required once every 5 years. The Human Resources department will maintain records of your completion of the training. Certificates of completion will be issued only upon request for any non-educational or out of District purposes.
