PSAT – Pre-college admissions test is given to interested Juniors 2019-2020 school year. Cost is $17.00 and given on October 16th. Great practice for the ACT college admissions test. Performing well on test may qualify student for National Merit Scholarship Program. For more info, go to the website.

ACT – 4 year college admissions test.

The ACT is given 7 times per year for Juniors and Seniors.

Cost of the test is $50.50/$67.00 (ACT/ACT plus writing). ACT tests students on their English, Science, Social Studies, and Math skills. Students can choose to take the writing exam as part of their ACT testing scores. Registration information is available in the Counseling Office. Also check out the ACT website @ .

EHS will offer a prep seminar on Friday, February 14th, 2020. The Junior class will be taking the ACT Plus Writing at EHS, free of charge, on March 3rd and the ACT WorkKeys on March 4th, 2020.

ASVAB – Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery

This aptitude test measures students’ skills in areas such as mechanical and electronic knowledge, English, Math, Science, speed and accuracy. It joins a persons’ aptitudes with results of their career interest survey to focus in on compatible specific careers. This test will be given on November 13th, 2019 at EHS. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to take the test. The cost is free. If a student is considering the military, they must take the ASVAB.

SAT – 4 year college admissions test

A test for Juniors and Seniors, similar to the ACT test, however, students are tested only on English and Math subject areas. SAT test is not as common in the Midwest as the ACT is.

Technical colleges have students take placement exams in English, Writing and Math areas for admission purposes. Nursing at Chippewa Valley Technical College does require a minimum ACT score of 18 in Math/Science and 19 in Reading. Contact the technical college you are interested in to receive more testing information.
