This means that they will not require the SAT or ACT as part of their admission requirements, at least for the 2020-2021 application year. DCPS In School Testing Options Fall 2020During the 2019-2020 School Year, all juniors had the opportunity to take the SAT during the in-school test day in early March 2020 before schools closed. If you missed this opportunity or are applying to a college requiring test scores as part of the admissions process, DCPS will offer the SAT on Wednesday, October 14 at Dunbar High School and will be limited to 200 students. Advance registration is required for all 12th Grade students interested in testing. The deadline to reserve a seat is September 15.Saturday Testing Dates If students are interested in taking the test this fall but October 14 does not work with their schedule, there will be Saturday administration dates at Friendship Collegiate School. The upcoming Fall Saturday SAT exam dates are October 3, November 7, and December 5. You may register for a Saturday test date yourself by accessing your College Board account. If eligible for a fee waiver code, the availability of the code will be noted on your student dashboard upon registering. If you are applying to a college with a January 2021 deadline, the November test date may be the last test date for you, to be considered for admissions. All students who are unsure if they should take the test and/or need more information on taking the test should reach out to their counselor or College & Career Coordinator for further guidance and information.2. How can I view my SAT scores from a previous test date and how can I interpret my scores? Students who previously took the SAT can view their scores on their College Board account. How do I know if I am eligible for fee-waiver to take the test on a Saturday? Access your College Board account to register for a Saturday test. If eligible for a fee waiver code, the availability of the code will be noted on your student dashboard account. 4. I believe I qualify for a fee-waiver, but I don’t see a code in my College Board account, what should I do?Reach out to your school counselors to confirm your eligibility. DCPS can reach out to College Board on your behalf to get the fee waiver coded added to your account. 5. What health and safety guidelines will DCPS enforce during the administration of the test? Students and staff must complete health screening upon entering the buildingStudents and staff will need to wear face coverings or masks for the duration of the test. Social distancing will be enforced (in classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, etc.)Classroom caps will be set to 12.
