Course Description
CIS 4370 introduces you to networking basics. The days of “network appreciation” courses are no longer here. Employers want students to know quite a lot, In job interviews employers may show a building and ask them how Ethernet LAN and 802.11 Wi-Fi can be used to connect the building, In addition, they may want students to know about OM standards, link aggregation, IPV6 and SDN, Ethernet busses and hubs. Knowledge of Security is also required. Theoretical knowledge alone is not enough, Students need hands-on experience. This course will introduce students all these aspects of networking. The course gives students a systematic approach to Networking.
