The Kuwaiti army is organized into:

In December 2006, Kuwait ordered technical assistance from Raytheon in the U.S. for the Patriot missile system through 2011.

In December 2007, Kuwait requested an upgrade of its Patriot missile systems in a deal potentially worth US$1.4 billion. The request includes 80 PAC-3 missiles, Patriot Guidance Enhanced Missiles-T (GEM-T) upgrades for 60 PAC-2 missiles and six Patriot system configuration 3 modification kits.
