What are you trying to do?

? Match analogue and digital times for o'clock ? Identify 1 hour before and after a given time

What do you need?

? Telling the Time Match cards, cut up and shuffled ? An analogue and a digital clock to demonstrate matching times

(optional)

What do you do?

? Select a card at random. Discuss 5 or more different things that you might do at that time. Talk about whether your time is in the morning, afternoon or night.

e.g.

? Challenge a random student to say the time 1 hour before this time. Is there anything you would do differently if it was I hour earlier?

? Challenge a random student to say the time 1 hour after this time. Is there anything you would do differently if it was I hour earlier?

Variation?

? Challenge students to say the time 2 hours before or after the given time.
