Know the clinical risk factors for DVTs and prophylactic treatment methods

Peripheral Neuropathies

Describe the following entrapment neuropathies:

Carpal tunnel syndrome: symptoms, exacerbating factors, pathophysiology, treatment options

Differentiate between radial and ulnar nerve lesions, thoracic outlet syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome, fibular (peroneal) neuropathy

Traumatic Neuropathies

Differentiate between the three classifications of nerve injuries (degree of injury, mechanism of injury and prognosis).

Polyneuropathies

Classification and general clinical presentation of polyneuropathies

Cardiac Disorders

Understand clinical manifestations and medical management of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and pericardial disease

Differentiate between different types of valvular heart disease (aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, mitral stenosis in terms of lesion and clinical manifestations.
