Job Title: Leave Administrator

Qualifications: The person in this position should have the following credentials:

1. Minimum High School Diploma 2. Minimum 5 years experience in office environment or equivalent 3. Must have a positive attitude towards providing excellent customer service at all times 4. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision given general directions and using

supervisor as a reference 5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner 6. Good verbal and written communication skills 7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 8. Competent skills in MS Word and MS Excel 9. Must be able to work under potentially stressful conditions in a fast-paced deadline -oriented environment 10. Must be a team player 11. Experience in Human Resource or Benefits or in management of FMLA processes(preferred) 12. Experience with Human Resource Software (Lawson preferred)

Reports To: Manager, HR Systems and Processes

Supervises: N/A

Job Goal: To coordinate and monitor the usage of Family and Medical Leave for District employees.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Provide required leave of absence paperwork to employees who are requesting a leave of absence and manage leave files for the duration of the leaves and through the return to work process.

2. Prepare appropriate documentation and correspondence for all leave of absence requests in accordance with government timelines.

3. Track all leave of absence information in Timelink Leave Tracking System. 4. Track all leave of absence status changes in Lawson Human Resource System. 5. Organize and analyze leave of absence paperwork and supporting medical documentation for authorization

pursuant to Board Policy and federal and state guidelines. 6. Act as the liaison with employees and Principals/Managers to ensure that questions, concerns,

changes/updates for leave of absence are communicated accordingly. 7. Serve as back up for Human Resource Processing Group. Maintain the ability to perform duties in Lawson

(Human Resource Information System) on an as needed basis. 8. Assist with department projects and events as needed. 9. Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the current Federal Family and Medical

Leave Act (FMLA) regulations. 10. Ability to work with all levels of employees in the organization including administrators, teachers, and all

classified and hourly personnel. 11. Maintain and follow all changes to the Federal regulations pertaining to the Family and Medical Leave Act. 12. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Terms of Employment: This position works 12 Months (245 days) per year and is paid on the Support Annual Salary Schedule in

Group F.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy.
