The Post
The Admissions Advisor role is to support the Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and Admissions colleagues in managing the process of taking applications for apprenticeships, desk and telephone-screening, arranging initial assessments and interviews, and supporting the interview process. This role will also support full-time study programme admissions at busy times. The role may be based at either campus and will include some out of hours work to facilitate interviews at times convenient to candidates and employers.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Providing customers with a high quality Information, Advice and Guidance Service on apprenticeship courses in accordance with the agreed Admissions Team Code of Practice.
2. Administering all aspects of the Apprenticeship application process, from acknowledging applications (either online, NAS, UCAS, hand-written etc.), desk and telephone screening to arranging interviews and administering initial assessments for candidates.
3. Updating the National Apprenticeship Service database as required.
4. Updating Pro-Solution throughout the application process to include interview dates, offers and acceptances.
5. Supporting the Apprenticeship Recruitment Advisors during the interview process where necessary.
6. Providing reports on applications for managers.
7. Working flexibly as a member of the School Liaison and Admissions team which will include supporting events at schools and college which may go outside normal working hours.
8. Liaising with other College teams and other agencies as necessary, ensuring that candidates are referred appropriately.
9. To identify the financial, health and safety, equality, confidentiality or other risks associated with the post’s sphere of responsibility and to define and take positive action to manage these risks.
10. Support the School Liaison and Admissions Team Leader with the collection of Customer Feedback and respond to any issues identified.
11. Such other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with your skills and experience.
12. To carry out all the above duties in the context of the practical application of the College’s Equality and Diversity policy and Admissions policy and acting responsibly at all times in order to maintain the health and safety of yourself and others

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR EDUCATION BUSINESS SERVICES (STOKE) LTD
The post is offered on an Education Business Services (Stoke) Ltd contract.
Conditions of Appointment
All appointments are offered subject to a period of probationary service up to twelve months, during which time performance will be assessed. In addition, all appointments are subject to:
• medical review
• verification of relevant qualifications
• receipt of references considered suitable by the Company
• a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure check

Working Hours
The standard full time working week for all staff is 37 hours.

Salary Payments
Salary is paid by direct credit transfer to your bank or building society account in 12 equal parts. Payment is made on the 27th day of each month or the next working day thereafter.
Notice Periods
The amount of notice you are required to give and entitled to receive is 1 months. Fixed term appointments may be offered with a notice period of one week, depending upon the length of the fixed term. The notice period applicable during a probationary period is 1 week.
Location of Work
Your principal place of work will be at the site given in the job description of the post. However, you may be required to work on either temporary or indefinite basis, at any premises at which the Company may from time to time provide services.
