LEADERSHIP POSITION DESCRIPTION

Admissions Counselor Admissions Director 12 20 Non-Exempt Support Staff February 5, 2020

Principle Function

Position Summary: Grow the student population by administering the enrollment process for the undergraduate and graduate programs. This is accomplished primarily through meeting with prospective students, assisting the Admissions Director in converting applications to enrollments, advising first-year students, and coordinating events related to enrollment and retention. Display professionalism in representing the quality of our organization.

Specific List of Responsibilities

? Maintains recruiting operations by following the Enrollment Process Map and all policies and procedures

? Plans and prepares for enrollment related events (i.e., Preview Night, New Student Orientation, Pastor's Luncheon, etc.)

? Create publications for admissions related events (i.e., agendas, PowerPoints, info packets) ? Works with vendors to design marketing materials ? Assists admissions department by increasing leads and inquiries ? Advises and registers all first year on-campus students through their second term ? Assist Office Manager to support receptionist schedule (i.e., answering the phone, seated at

front desk)

General List of Responsibilities

? Keep abreast of admissions trends in the area of biblical higher education ? Remains competent and current through self-directed professional development in the

areas of admissions, recruitment, and retention ? Contributes to the overall success of the College by performing all other duties as needed ? Present Carolina College of Biblical Studies in a positive manner ? Abide by the standards of employment in the employee handbook

Required Qualifications

? Possess a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ for eternal life ? Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gmail, graphic design software, Excel, Google documents,

social media, etc. ? Demonstrate initiative, having an ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively

with team members ? Be adaptable, flexible, relational, and enthusiastic ? Have values consistent with the mission and vision of Carolina College of Biblical Studies ? Hold an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution ? Excellent team building and management skills

Preferred Qualifications

? A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution ? Experience in marketing/advertising ? Public relations and customer service experience ? Record of strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills ? Demonstrate problem solving skills
