Subscription Management Cloud provides a complete contract authoring and execution solution to manage warranties and extended warranties, usage and subscription based services, as well as complex service agreements.

It enables service marketing and contract administrators to set up discounts/adjustments (and surcharges) for the services provided in Field Service, Depot Repair and Customer Service Logistics.

This capability will provide you with the ability to calculate charges program has been enhanced to include warranty and contract discounts and adjustments when calculating charges for parts, labor and expenses,

Secondly, retrieves all applicable discounts and adjustments for customer and assets from Subscription Management

Thirdly, discounts and adjustments are passed to the Pricing application, which performs the actual calculations

Adjustments can be entered in the Edit Standard Coverage UI. In this UI, you can define, for a given service activity code(SAC) and billing type (labor, expense, material, etc.), the adjustment type (discount or markup), adjustment percent, and adjustment basis (only list price is currently supported).

The Edit Charges UI displays all of the charges for expenses, parts, and labor. The Edit Charges UI can be accessed from the Manage Work Orders and Charges UI and from the Manage Depot Repair UI. Here, you can override the final charge amount the customer will be billed.

Use discounts for parts, labor and expenses defined in Service Contracts to accurately invoice for services rendered. This feature provides business value by:

Helping customers to better budget maintenance costs beforehand, benefits accurate billing/reduce billing errors, provides more accurate Estimate and reduces time to cash by reducing time to calculate charges

For example, an ATM manufacturer sells extended warranties to banks which cover parts and labor during regular business hours. With this new feature they can define a Subscription Coverage with 100% discount for all Part Installation and Regular Labor Service Activities. After Hours Service Activities are not covered and will be billed at list price. This coverage will automatically be applied when billing their customers for field service and depot repair services reducing manual errors and speeding invoice generation.
