Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 currently supports running Java Applets. Microsoft has not announced an end-of-life date for applets in Internet Explorer.Removing the support for Oracle Java Applets and Adobe Flash has an impact on Application Performance Management products. Here are some highlights for last few APM releases starting from 9.30:New Application Health dashboards and Reports. Application Health, a set of HTML-5 GUIs that delivers operational functions from APM server side for all APM components e.g. BPM, RUM, SiteScope. It offers modern look and feel as well as better performance compared with traditional JAVA based GUI.APM data ingested into Vertica-powered Collect Once Store Once (COSO) data store, providing cross-domain (infrastructure, application) data analytics and visualization.Supports applications hosted on container technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes.BPM integration with Mobile Center, added ability of monitoring synthetic transactions from mobile devices.RUM offers ability for monitoring applications hosted on AWS infrastructure.Other technology updates e.g. Firefox, Chrome, RHL, HornetQ, VMWare, Hyper-V, OpenSSH etc.On a separate note, APM is converged into Micro Focus Operations Bridge portfolio and has an upgrade path to Operations Bridge unit license model which provides flexibility to switch between application management, infrastructure and event management use cases. Please contact Micro Focus team for further details.APM Upgrade JourneyPlease refer to the APM documentation for upgrade procedure. As a result of flash removal, there are some minor changes and user experience differences in some of the reports and charts. Please contact Microfocus Support for further details, if there are any concerns about the same.Harald BuroseDirector, Operations Bridge Product Management Micro Focus ................
