As a result, rates will change and some counties will move into a different cost area designation. Case Managers will need to be sure to update CARE to reflect these changes (See Reference Link and attached maps). Effective July 1, 2020, Expanded Community Service daily rate for Adult Family Homes has increased. The cap on the sum of the Adult Family Home [T1020, U1] daily rate plus the ECS Add-On for the AFH [T2033, U1] will change from $132.50 to $135.00 (See Reference Link).Effective July 1, 2020, the Expanded Community Service (ECS) daily rate for Assisted Living and Enhanced Adult Residential Care Facilities [T2033, U3] has transitioned to a new county and service area alignment. The rate is no longer subject to a cap on the sum between the ALF/EARC daily rate and the ECS add-on (See Reference Link).Effective July 1, 2020, all Adult Day Care [S5100 & S5102, HQ] and Adult Day Health [S5102, TG; S5102, CG; & S5102, U9] rates have increased by 6% (See Reference Link).Effective July 1, 2020, Specialized Behavioral Support Add-On for Adult Family Homes [T2033, U5] has increased from $148.70 to $153.00 (See Reference Link).Effective July 1, 2020, the Individual Provider base rate will change for all IP services (See Reference Link).Effective July 1, 2020, the Home Care Agency Provider rate for personal care T1019 and respite T1005 will change. (See Reference Link).The attached maps (Attachments A and B) can be used to understand how geographic areas for rates have changed. The county/rate tool (Attachment C) can be used to view a simplified version of the community residential rates sheet that focuses on rates for services in each county.ACTION:Staff must begin authorizing new services for July 1, 2020 forward using the new rates.
