Overview:

Sterling Payment Technologies is proud to announce the release of the Cash Advance application for banking institutions only. Cash Advance applications have been around since the early 1980’s.

By providing customers with convenient access to their cash funds, banks are able to deliver a valuable service to their members. Cash Advance means any transaction resulting in the cardholder receiving cash, whether initiated through an ATM or a POS terminal. By utilizing this application cardholders walk into a bank branch and with proper identification can draw cash advances from their card account without requiring a PIN number.

Banks have become accustomed to using the Tranz 330 and P250 or P900 printers to facilitate this type of transaction for more than 20 years. Current laws have made it necessary to update both the hardware and software. One requirement is account number truncation on both the customer and merchant copy. Today this hardware combination is being replaced with the Vx510, Vx510le and the Vx570. All three terminals meet the requirements of today. The software has been updated to meet the current laws regarding the handling of cardholders’ information.
