a) misleading and deceptive and conduct and directors and shareholders

(Feedback: Incorrect. This search will look for cases where the conduct was misleading as well as deceptive. Sometimes companies act only misleadingly or deceptively. These cases will be missed.)

b) misleading and deceptive conduct and directors or shareholders

(Feedback: Incorrect. This search will find cases with directors or shareholders, but not both.)

c) “misleading or deceptive conduct” and directors and shareholders. (Feedback: Correct! By using quotation marks, the whole legal phrase is searched, and results will be more accurate.)
