There are a number of expected benefits of an IFAS-wide move to an interactive conferencing system employing the use of H.323 technology through the Internet that include:
• Achieve significant savings by providing one connection for video, audio/phone, and data.
• Provide 24 hour, 7-day accessibility without outside vendor bridge scheduling and costs.
• Provide video/voice networking with 205 other Internet II connected universities and international partners. (See )
• Provides a system that can be expanded to include other IFAS, Health Center, and UF sites.
• With proper routers and bridge, will assure quality of service and reliability.
