MEDICAL MISSION TRIP INFORMATION

Our Mission:

At Florida Hospital Global Mission Initiatives, our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ throughout the world. We accomplish this through MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS and by creating opportunities for our employees and friends to provide medical care to those in need.

Global Footprints

Through the work of Florida Hospital Global Mission Initiatives, it is our goal to build lasting relationships with our Global Footprints where our Footprints not only survive but thrive. We identify their long-term needs, create a strategic plan for improvement, and provide the support needed to implement and sustain the plan.

The GMI Footprint in Peru includes the hospitals in Lima, Juliaca (near Lake Titicaca) and a new facility in Pucallpa. Florida Hospital strives to assist these facilities as they grow and develop into outstanding medical institutions in their area. Our medical mission trips include primary care clinics, specialized surgery, medical and health education, which includes Creation Health principles.

Peru is a country of contrasts from modern cities (Lima) to cities as they were 100's of years ago. Elevations range from sea level to over 12,000 feet which presents some challenges to trip participants.

Excursions

We travel to beautiful places around the world to serve, and during the mission trip you will have the opportunity to explore and get to know these locations, culture and the people who live there. Most trips have been designed to contain an excursion day in Peru.

Mission trips to Peru may include visiting the historical site of Machu Picchu, ancient Incan ruins, the Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca, and many other adventures to discover sights unseen.

The excursion activities are included in the total cost of the trip unless otherwise stated.
