1. Is Rehab at Vernon Green devoted solely to rehabilitation? Yes. It is a dedicated rehab service that operates within our nursing home and is staffed with licensed and certified rehab professionals who provide proven therapies utilizing a full range of equipment.

2. What are the qualifications of the staff? Our professionals are licensed and certified by the state of Vermont for physical, occupational and speech therapy. In addition to professional qualifications, the staff members are guided by an understanding of the less tangible areas of recovery ? mind and spirit ? and seek to treat the whole person.

3. Do you provide individualized attention? Yes. Rehab at Vernon Green provides a comprehensive and individualized plan of care that takes into account each patient's physical, social and emotional independence.

4. Can the family be involved in the therapy? Yes. We encourage family members to be involved in the care plan, which includes providing emotional and practical support to their loved one.

5. Are patients educated about services? Yes. We strive to educate patients and family members as part of the therapeutic process, and that includes practices to follow after therapy sessions end. We can make recommendations or referrals for additional services such as outpatient or home therapy following discharge, and recommend or fit assistive devices from prosthetic devices to walkers and other equipment.

6. Are services easily accessible? Yes. Rehab at Vernon Green is completely handicapped and wheelchair accessible.

7. Do you provide outpatient services? Yes, with a physician's referral for the desired therapy.

8. How is success measured? Our therapists develop realistic recovery plans with specific measurable goals and then document progress (such as improvements in range of motion and other criteria). They document the "before and after" progress a patient has made and share test results.
