What's new in 2020

Knowing what your health plan pays for can help you stay healthy and save money. These changes for EUTF and HSTA VB retiree members start on Jan. 1, 2020. Diabetes prevention. The HMSA Diabetes Prevention Program will now be available to eligible members with Medicare for a $0 copayment when seeing a provider in our network. Participation is limited to once per lifetime. (Previously added for non-Medicare members effective Jan. 1, 2019.) Ambulatory services. Air ambulance services for critically ill or injured patients will expand to the continental United States. These services include assessment and administration of care by specially trained personnel and the transportation of the patient in specially designed and equipped aircraft. Patients must meet eligiblity requirements. Mammography. Digital breast tomosynthesis, also known as 3D mammography, will be added to the current screening mammography benefit. This is only a summary. For complete information, see your plan's Guide to Benefits, which can be found at eutf. All benefits are for services from a participating provider.
