Digital Marketing Assistant

Title: Digital Marketing Assistant

Responsible To: Marketing and Communications Manager

Line Management Responsibility: None

Overall Objectives:

This role reports into the Communications and Marketing Manager and is focussed on supporting the Digital Marketing Executive and Digital Content Officer to deliver digital communications requirements for fundraising events, campaigns and appeals and supporter loyalty communications, as part of multi-channel programmes to recruit new donors and retain existing supporters.

• Support the development and delivery of:

o email communications to recruit participants to fundraising events, campaigns and appeals, working closely with the fundraising and wider communications and marketing teams

o email communications to aid supporter journeys and stewardship

o digital advertising

o website

• Work with the fundraising and wider communications teams to ensure marketing programmes are delivered to agreed deadlines and within budget across digital channels.

• Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to monitor and maintain supporter engagement through the design and implementation of automated email programmes.

• Work with the Digital Content Officer to maintain website content using the CMS ensuring it is timely, relevant and optimized in line with our priorities and campaigns. Review content regularly ensuring it is accurate, up to date and delivers a high quality user journey.

• Record, analyse and report on the performance of campaigns against agreed KPIs using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Business Manager.

|Advertising |Support the Digital Marketing Executive in: |

| |developing and managing paid digital advertising campaigns across relevant |

| |digital platforms including social channels for events, campaigns and appeals. |

| |commissioning/writing/sourcing text and images that meet digital platform |

| |specifications/regulations and are most effective for digital audiences. |

| |working with the wider team including Care to ensure that appropriate content |

| |is developed and consents obtained. |

| |ensuring consistent campaign performance and evaluation reporting (use of |

| |Google Analytics and Facebook Business Manager), and developing insights to |

| |inform future activity. |

|Website | Support the Digital Content Officer in: |

| | |

| |maintaining website content using the CMS, working with key stakeholders to |

| |ensure content for the website is timely, relevant and optimized in line with |

| |our priorities and campaigns. Review content regularly ensuring it is accurate,|

| |up to date and delivers a high quality user journey. |

| |managing and implementing website SEO strategy using third party agencies where|

| |necessary. |

| |managing Google Analytics, data to recommend how to improve our general website|

| |function, maximize traffic to website and optimise user experience and |

| |engagement. Regularly produce analysis and reporting, to inform future |

| |planning. |

|Compliance |Ensure you comply at all times with the Julia’s House Data Protection Policy, |

| |Data Protection legislation and requirements of the Information Commissioners |

| |Office (ICO). |

| | |

| |Ensure any lottery marketing activity adheres with Gambling Commission |

| |specifications and IoF regulations. |

| | |

| |Liaise with Database Manager to ensure marketing materials adhere to GDPR |

| |regulations and ensure third party agencies handling our data provide the |

| |necessary documentation to establish compliance. |

|External relationships |Build strong relationships with external agencies and suppliers. |

|Health & Safety |Ensure that Julia’s House guidelines are adhered to at all times. |
