Read your book. Think of the best way to convince other people to read it.

That is the goal of advertising; convincing someone to buy or try something new. Look at ads in magazines and newspapers, or commercials on TV to get ideas for this project. Movie trailers are also good examples of advertising.

Focus on the part of the book that affected you the most; a character, the exciting plot, the tone of the book; whether the book was sad, scary, or happy. For a nonfiction book, find the fact that was the most interesting to you and use that fact as part of your advertisement.

Advertisements should use wonderful words. Find the best adjectives that describe the part of the book that you are ‘selling.’ Use words to tease your reader and leave them wanting more information about the book.

You may use your own artwork or create an advertisement using the computer.

Be sure to include the title and the author of the book as part of your advertisement

Make me want to read your book!
