SMALL CLASS SIZES The small classes at Everglades University provide greater interaction between you and the faculty and will offer the opportunity to achieve your educational goals in a supportive, compassionate, and professional environment. Our convenient schedules will allow you to work full-time or part-time while completing your degree.*

ONE CLASS AT A TIME In the undergraduate degree programs at Everglades University, students complete one class per month. Taking one class at a time promotes concentration in each individual class and will allow you to balance your education with the daily demands of our modern fast-paced world. In the graduate degree programs at Everglades University, you can complete one or two classes within a two month time period.

"NO HASSLE" APPROACH As a student at Everglades University, you will never have to be concerned with scheduling classes or needing a class that may not be offered in a particular semester. Everglades University's "no hassle" approach to scheduling means that we build your entire schedule until graduation. You will not have to go through the aggravation of standing in long lines to register for class or obtain your class materials. Furthermore, your schedule will reflect only the classes necessary for your degree. You will not have to experience registering for an unnecessary class or encounter gaps in your schedule. An accurate schedule tailored to your degree program allows you to graduate as quickly as possible.

APPROVED FOR VETERANS TRAINING Everglades University is approved for veteran's training and is a Yellow Ribbon program participant for the Post 9/11 GI Bill (R). Everglades University is an active supporter of the Principles of Excellence and Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding (DODMOU). Everglades University provides processes to determine credit awards and learning acquired for specialized military training and occupational experience when applicable to a service member's degree program.

ACADEMIC ADVISING Academic Advisors are available to you in person, via phone, or online. During your academic advisory meetings, you will discuss your schedule, progress reports, grade point average, and attendance. Your Academic Advisor will help to assist you in reaching your academic goals and aspirations.

BOOKSTORE The Everglades University Online Bookstore located on the Everglades University website at EvergladesUniversity.edu offers a number of services that make returning to school a "no hassle" process. If you are an online or on-campus student, once you are registered for class the online bookstore allows you to order your textbooks via an ebook format or a hard copy format and have them shipped directly to your house. In addition students and alumni can order apparel and gifts and other items through our online bookstore also located on the Everglades University website.

STUDENT SERVICES The Department of Student Services is available to assist you in various ways throughout your educational journey at Everglades University including your transition into the workplace environment. Prior to and after graduation, Student Services will advise you in career development skills such as r?sum? writing, cover letter writing, and interviewing skills that are necessary within the professional workplace environment. Furthermore, Student Services will assist you in your search for employment. By utilizing a variety of resources such as a national web-based placement service at: EvergladesUniversity

FLORIDA'S STATEWIDE COURSE NUMBERING SYSTEM Courses offered at Everglades University are identified by prefixes and numbers that were assigned by Florida's Statewide Course Numbering System (SCNS). This numbering system is used by all public postsecondary institutions in Florida and participating non-public institutions. The major purpose of this system is to facilitate the transfer of courses between participating institutions.

Our faculty members hold either a Master's or Doctoral degree in their area of specialty.

EVERGLADES UNIVERSITY HISTORY In the fall of 2002, Everglades College became one of the first colleges in the country to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Alternative Medicine.

In January 2003, the State of Florida, Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education granted approval to open the Sarasota Branch Campus of Everglades College. In May of 2003, Everglades College received approval to offer Master's Degrees in Business Administration, Information Technology, and Aviation Science. In December of 2003, Everglades College officially changed its name to Everglades University and also received approval to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology.

In April 2004, the Main Campus of Everglades University relocated to Boca Raton, Florida. In August 2004, the State of Florida, Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education granted approval to open the Orlando Branch Campus of Everglades University. In August 2005, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Construction Management.

Effective January 2010, Everglades University was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor's and master's degrees. Furthermore, in June 2011, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship. In September 2011, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Crisis and Disaster Management.

In June 2014, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Land and Energy Management and the Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Environmental Policy and Management. In July 2014, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Master's Degree in Public Health Administration. In September 2014, Everglades University was granted approval to open the Off-Campus Instructional Site of the Sarasota Branch Campus, in Tampa, FL. In October of 2014, Everglades University was granted approval to relocate the Orlando Branch Campus to its new location in Maitland, FL.

In July 2015, Everglades University was granted approval to offer the Bachelor of Science degrees in Surveying Management (for Construction and Roadway), Hospitality Management, and International Business. In December 2015, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges reaffirmed accreditation for Everglades University for ten years.

In the fall of 2018, Everglades University was granted approval to open the Miami Campus an off-campus instructional site of the Boca Raton Main campus. In the fall of 2018, Everglades University was granted approval to relocate the Tampa Off-Campus Instructional Site to its new location on Kennedy Boulevard.

In the fall of 2019, Everglades University was approved to offer the Masters in Construction Management and Bachelor of Science with a Major in Marine Resources Management programs.

In the fall of 2021, Everglades University was approved to offer the Masters in Sustainability, the Masters in Hospitality Management, and the Masters in Leadership program, as well as the Bachelor of Science Degrees in Healthcare Administration, Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Management, and the Bachelor of Science Degree in Sustainability.

EVERGLADES UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES

BOCA RATON CAMPUS/ONLINE DIVISION The Main Campus of Everglades University is located in Boca Raton, Florida, which is conveniently accessible for residents of both Palm Beach and Broward Counties. The Boca Raton Campus provides ample free parking and is easily reached by I-95, Tri-Rail, and public bus service. The University building encompasses over 37,000 square feet of air-conditioned and well-lit offices, classrooms, computer labs, a library and a student lounge. The Online Division of Everglades University is located on the second floor of the Boca Raton Main Campus.

Boca Raton has been described as a cosmopolitan metropolis offering a tropical paradise lifestyle. Boca Raton is a large community with an abundance of beautifully designed and landscaped residential neighborhoods and is home to a thriving business community. With beautiful sprawling Atlantic beaches, nature preserves, and parks, Boca Raton has a great deal to offer individuals of all ages.

MIAMI CAMPUS The Miami off-campus instructional site is located just off Florida's Turnpike and Kendall Drive on Mills Drive in a spacious 24,404 square-foot beautifully remodeled facility located at the Palms at Town and Country shopping district and restaurant center. The facility features student lounge areas with an outdoor patio eating area, library, administrative offices, computer lab and stadium seating classrooms with wireless technology. The Miami campus is conveniently accessible to the Miami International Airport and from both Broward County as well as Monroe County.

Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an "Alpha-" level world city in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and the "Magic City" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.

ORLANDO CAMPUS The Orlando Branch Campus of Everglades University is located in a spacious 28,000 square-foot building on Trafalgar Court, Maitland, Florida. The facility houses well-lit offices, classrooms, a computer lab, a library, faculty lounge and a student lounge. The campus is conveniently located close to I-4, the SunRail Station via Neighborlink shuttle service, Orlando International Airport, Altamonte Mall, and Florida Hospital. The Orlando Campus is a branch of the main campus in Boca Raton, Florida.

Orlando, a city in central Florida, is home to more than a dozen theme parks. Chief among its claims to fame is Walt Disney World, comprised of parks like the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, as well as water parks. Another major destination, Universal Orlando, offers Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter straddling both.

SARASOTA CAMPUS The Sarasota Branch Campus of Everglades University is located in a spacious three-story building just off I-75 and University Parkway in Sarasota, Florida. The university occupies approximately 36,000 square feet of space. This includes well-lit offices, classrooms, two computer labs, two student lounges and a student career center. The Sarasota Campus shares a spacious library with a relaxing study area and a large auditorium with state-of-the-industry technology with Keiser University. The campus is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of 20 plus acres bordered by Lake Osprey. The Sarasota Campus is a branch of the main campus in Boca Raton, Florida.

Known as a beautiful vacation spot for tourists, Sarasota has become home to a diverse population. Sarasota offers gorgeous sprawling beaches, a number of leisure activities, cultural events, museums, and a magnificent year-round climate. Furthermore, Sarasota is home to a flourishing business environment. The city of Sarasota maintains a vivacious recreational and cultural community.

TAMPA CAMPUS Our Tampa off-campus instructional site is located right off the 275 interstate and just minutes from US Highway 589, Route 60, on Kennedy Boulevard across from West Shore Plaza and 2 miles south from International Mall. The 21,000 square foot facility features classrooms designed for an ideal learning environment: 17 classrooms, 15 offices, a library, a computer lab, a bookstore and 2 student lounge areas. The new location offers a convenient option for those located in the City of Tampa as well as neighboring counties of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and lower Polk counties.

Tampa is a city on Tampa Bay, along Florida's Gulf Coast. A major business center, it's also known for its museums and other cultural offerings. Busch Gardens is an African-themed amusement park with thrill rides and animal-viewing areas. The historic Ybor City neighborhood, developed by turn of the 20th century Cuban and Spanish cigar-factory workers, is a dining and nightlife destination.

GRADUATE DEGREES

MASTER'S DEGREE IN AVIATION SCIENCE

The Master's Degree in Aviation Science (MAS) provides a unique learning experience for aviation industry professionals. Combining a variety of aviation and aerospace courses, this program will enable graduates to broaden their knowledge of the aviation industry by understanding relevant theories and principles of aerospace and their application to realworld situations. Students will complete technical aviation coursework that will include intensive analysis of airway transportation systems, aerospace communication systems, aviation human factors and psychology.

Concentrations are available in Aviation Operations Management, Aviation Security, and Business Administration. Graduates will be skilled in advanced research, formal writing techniques, and prepared for a beyond entry-level career in aviation.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

MASTER'S DEGREE IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

The Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) will qualify students to meet the market conditions that require graduate degrees for middle-management or higher-level employment. This program can also equip you with the knowledge that is necessary to launch your own business. The MBA program is designed to provide you with advanced theoretical concepts and knowledge from all functional areas of business through an analytical, decision-making process which focuses on solving practical problems. Concentrations are available in Accounting for Managers, Aviation Management, Construction Management, Human Resource Management, and Project Management.

A Graduate Business Capstone Course is also required as a culmination of this intensive program, allowing prospective graduates to demonstrate their newly acquired skills and expertise in the field of business administration prior to embarking on their careers.

The Master's Degree in Construction Management allows students seeking upper-level management positions in various sectors of the construction industry to improve their competency in project, program and company management areas. The program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply advanced theoretical concepts and knowledge from all functional areas of the construction business through an analytical, decision-making process which focuses on solving practical problems.

The Master's in Construction Management curriculum provides a challenging and creative learning environment, including courses such as Strategic Management of Construction Organizations, Advanced Construction Estimating, Construction Claims, Construction Cost Analysis and Financial Control, Construction Productivity, and Legal Aspects in Construction.

The Master's Degree in Construction Management seeks to provide students with a well-rounded view of the purpose, operation, and management of construction business entities.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship is designed to administer a challenging learning environment with an emphasis on entrepreneurial theories and practice. This program provides students with the skills needed to understand the risks and rewards associated with developing a working model from which to start an innovative business venture. As a graduate, you will be able to analyze various models and demonstrate effective decision-making practices. This Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship will prepare you for a career as an Entrepreneur.

The program leading to the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship focuses on the behaviors and attributes required to operate successfully within the entrepreneurial environment. Entrepreneurs are the driving force in the U.S. and World Economies and this program helps develop entrepreneurial leaders.

EARN YOUR MASTER'S DEGREE IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR

MASTER'S DEGREE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

The Master's Degree in Hospitality Management is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed for success in the hospitality industry by professionals for high-level operations and management. The program combines foundational managerial and business background in accounting, decision-making, human resources, project management, and business strategy with courses in hospitality theory, management, and sustainable operations.

The Master's Degree in Hospitality Management offers courses that should prepare graduates for employment in managerial positions in hospitality. The degree will prepare students with skills in project management, leadership and critical thinking and decision-making. Opportunities for these graduates will range from hotels and restaurants to travel, resorts and tourism, to event planning and customer service.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN LEADERSHIP

The Master's Degree in Leadership curriculum is designed to create leaders with practical knowledge applicable to a variety of professional, personal, and civic environments, and enable graduates to apply their knowledge to effect real change and transformation. The program is designed to provide the necessary skills and strategies to support the goals of its graduates in becoming the next generation of leaders, whether they are interested moving up to the next level in their current occupations, or embarking on a new path in their careers.

The Master's Degree in Leadership seeks to provide students with a broad view of the meaning of leadership. The degree is designed to prepare students to apply theories of leadership to real-world situations. Graduates will be prepared to inspire teams, and create change in organizations, and model leadership in contexts of all types.

MASTER'S DEGREE IN PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

The Master's Degree in Public Health Administration (MPH) provides students with a well-rounded view of the field in public health. The MPH curriculum implements a challenging and creative learning environment with an intensive program of study that has a broad-based administrative emphasis.

A concentration in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is available with this degree program.

This concentration gives the student a unique perspective on the emerging field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine integration within healthcare systems and policy. The degree offers personal fulfillment by working towards improving the public's health and well-being.

A concentration in Functional Nutrition (MPHFN) is also available with this degree program. Graduates will be able to confront complex health issues, such as evidence based nutrition, controlling infectious disease, whole foods for health and wellness, nutritional assessment, and epidemiology with a component of functional nutrition approaches.
