Pay me for what I do best, Guide for successful hunts. Don't pay me as an inn keeper or a cook! The costs of many are escalated to provide, meals and lodging that you can get cheaper and near the hunt site. Some have campers, or stay in local motels. This leaves me to focus 100% on getting you close to the animal you came for. In doing so I have dropped my price by about 1/3rd and my 4 hunter prices, unbeatable!

If you have a group of buddies that don't need a 100% available guide then this is the hunt for you. We specialize in are semi-guided hunt guiding up to 4 hunters at once. The normal process is built on some hunters moving the deer while others sit at crossing and other ambush spots the deer are pushed to. Deer have a difficult time keeping track of 2 or more hunters at the same time so movement into the gun works extremely well in these well-orchestrated hunts with skilled shooters. Many times we can work this hunt well with older hunters and younger hunter so that some are required to walk less than others.

My biggest problem is availability since I book up well in advance. Since the license are almost guaranteed, bookings don't start when hunters get their license many of them start booking after they are done hunting one year and they book for the next year.

MONTANA lowers elk & deer license costs, with drawing chances very high. If not successful, we will RE-APPY, and hunt the next year, or transfer to a different hunt. I can get discounts on both lodging and food for clients. You have put a roof over your head and fed yourself why have me do it like other outfitters and I would have to have a upcharge to provide it like the others. Instead I have you call a motel that I use every year with nice room continental breakfast when you wake up early along with they will even pack a lunch for you.

What is the difference between a successful hunter and a non-successful hunter in harvesting an animal.

Shooting Accuracy in a Situation

The one thing that is attributed to harvesting an animal is something that I can't do anything about.. Hunters will fly in have their hunt, yet won't take the time at home to use a box or two of cartridges practicing. They shoot from the bench and the gun shoots well, then they leave with 15 rounds left in the box. I recommend shooting at least 100 rounds before coming to Montana. The ones from the bench don't count toward the 100. Shoot sitting down and even more important lying down so you are comfortable laying down getting a rest for your rifle and shooting accurately. Come home from the

range with a dirty shirt and pants. This is the way to be successful in the west hunting if you come home from Montana with a dirty shirt and pants you will be going home with a set of antlers!

So my new lower prices and longer hunts include:

Experienced guide(s), 4x4 vehicles, game retrieval, game care for taxidermy and hard as you can hunt hunting. Guides will work hard for you, to get you in the game. We start early and hunt all day. It is fair chase, and your success depends a lot on weather, time, some on luck, and a lot in our ability getting you into the game and getting you the opportunity shot.

My idea is this, once you get the tag(s), you should consider giving enough time during the "best" part of the season to make sure you fill that tag. I can now make this happen, in some great fair chase hunting country, and longer hunts and lower prices. My hunting boundaries include an entire national forest! Combo hunts are still available.

The beautiful Bitterroot Mountains and Sapphire Mountains with their majestic peaks are Home to trophy size Elk, Deer, Bear, Mountain Lion, Bighorn Sheep, Moose and Mountain Goat. Our Montana hunting areas are in the Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests of Western Montana. Permitted on a million acres, including areas: 240, 250, 260, 261, 270 and eastern Montana area 700. Guides are licensed and trained in calling, stalking, capeing, skinning, and will get your game to a processor or cold storage. All guides, 4 x 4 vehicles and equipment is provided on guided hunts. The areas I hunt in Montana provide little or no pressure during the bugle season for elk. Your chances of scoring on a BIG bull elk, with experienced guides that will hunt in close with you, are higher than 50%. We work hard to get you that perfect archery shot. Guides will do all the bugling and cow calling for you. What a way for you to have the most exciting hunt of your life! Listening to that big bull elk challenge you with a blood curdling bugle and then come in close enough to hit with a rock is something you will always remember for the rest of your life.

If you want to have a lot of fun, see a lot of game and get plenty of shooting, try one of our Special Antelope Hunts in Eastern Montana. These hunts usually run 100% success. I hunt on private land and all access fees, food, and transportation during the hunt are furnished. The hunts are spot and stalk using 4-wheelers for transportation along with some walking. Fourteen to 15 inch bucks are quite common and occasionally hunters will take 16 inch or better bucks. Archery Antelope tags are NOT on a drawing!!!!

These Antelope Hunts are great for the new or beginning hunter. They do not get bored waiting to see game. There is plenty of excitement. Black bear and antelope hunts are great for father/son, father/ daughter or husband/wife hunts. Everyone has a lot of fun and excitement!

The weather at this time of year can be unstable, but typically we have cool mornings and evenings with warm days. It is a beautiful time of year to be out on the prairies of Eastern Montana.

Rifle Antelope licenses are on a drawing. If by chance you do not draw a permit, I will transfer the deposit to a hunt the following year, or a different hunt, it's your choice. Applications must be in prior to June 1. I will fill out the applications for license and tags and send them to you to sign and mail to the Department of Fish and Game with the appropriate fee. License and tag will be mailed directly to you from the Department of Fish and Game.

These hunts are conducted in hunting area 700 of Eastern Montana. Accommodations are available to hunters on the Ranch. We will make advance reservations for you once you have booked the hunt with us.

These hunts are 3 full days of hunting. The antelope are plentiful and so are the Mule Deer, if you would like a combination hunt. You only provide your personal gear, rifle, license, lodging and transportation to the ranch, and back home. We take care of the rest, including the trespass fee. We limit the hunts to a maximum of 4 hunters per hunt. We hunt on private ranches with over 250,000 acres of prime Antelope/Deer habitat.

I am established as one of the West's foremost Lion Guides. The Cougar Hunts run in December and January. The Cougar population is at an all-time high. I use dogs for the chase on these big cats, snowmobiles, 4-wheel drive vehicles, and snowshoes for transportation on these hunts. Everything except your own personal lodging and license is furnished. I ask you to be flexible on your time schedule. I set up a schedule of hunts and will book you into one of those slots. However, if a hunter completes his hunt early and the conditions are perfect for hunting, I may ask you to arrive earlier than your booked time. And on the other hand, if the weather is not perfect for the hunt, I may ask you to wait a few days to arrive until the weather is better. I really want your hunt to be a success and will do everything possible to assure you that it will be. Tags are on a drawing. I will do all the paperwork for application, or by internet Website.

Montana Black Bear Hunting

Come join us for an exciting hunt next Spring or Fall. After a long winter or summer, it is time to get out, relax, and have some fun and do some Bear Hunting. All food, lodging, guides and 4-wheel drive vehicles are furnished for the hunt. You provide your personal gear, rifle, license and transportation here and back home and we'll take care of the rest. There is plenty of excitement. Black Bear and Antelope hunts are great for father/son, father/daughter or husband/wife type of hunts.

The best time for Bear Hunting is in April, May, September or October. Pelts are in their prime at this time of year and make for the best rugs or life-size mounts.

The Black Bear population in this portion of the Rockies comes in the highest occurrence of color phases of anywhere in the US and Canada, about 15%. We see shades of Black, Brown, Cinnamon and Honey colors. We conduct Black Bear Hunts in Montana. Transportation on all Spring Bear Hunts will primarily be 4-wheel drive vehicles. All Spring Bear Hunts in Montana are spot and stalk type of hunts. We do not use dogs or baits. You will see an abundance of other game, elk, deer, moose, etc., so bring your camera and carry it with you always.

Montana Non-resident license and tag must be purchased one month prior to opening of the season. License and tag cost is $367.00 per person. We fill out the applications for license and tags which we send to you to sign and mail to the Department of Fish and Game. License and tags will be mailed directly to you from the Fish and Game.

For anyone who can put together a group of 4 hunters, 2x1, we offer an additional discount of $75.00 per hunter. Anyone who puts together a full hunt with 8 hunters 2x1, we will offer a discount of $150.00 per hunter.
