NOMINATION NOTICE

AFGE Local 644

Nominations for the offices of President, Executive Vice President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Vice

Presidents (OSHA, WHD, MSHA (Metal/Non-metal/Tech), MSHA (Coal), OFCCP, OA, OWCP will be

accepted no later than 17 April at 1200. Qualifications for office are: be a member in good standing of

this local; be a member for one year of an AFGE local, immediately preceding the closing of the

nomination process; not be a member in any labor organization not affiliated with the AFL-CIO;

candidates shall not run for more than one office in the same local election; Any member who has paid

dues through 17 April 2021 is in good standing and eligible to nominate candidates. Candidates for Unit

VPs must be a member of the unit and nominations must be made from a member of the unit.

Nominations and acceptance must be made in writing and must be received by the L644 Election

Committee at the election committee's post office box, PO Box 171, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934 no

later than 1200 on 17 April 2021 or by email to the election chair at justinhodges4@ or by

text message to 302-382-3569.

A second for a nomination is not required. Self-nominations are permissible. Nominations also may be

made in writing and must be received by the AFGE Local 644 Election Committee at the election

committee's post office box, PO Box 171, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934 no later than 1200 pm on 17

April 2021 or by email to the election chair at justinhodges4@.

Candidates must accept nomination in writing to the election chair Justin Hodges at

justinhodges4@ or by text message to 302-382-3569, to be received by close of nominations.

A lone letter of acceptance is a self-nomination. The member making the nomination has the

responsibility of informing the nominee of his or her nomination. Placement on the ballot will be

determined immediately following the nominations.

The term of office will run for 3 years ending with the installation of officers following the regularly

scheduled elections in 12/2023.

Each candidate may have a reasonable number of observers, who are members, present throughout the

election process, including the tally of ballots.

ELECTION NOTICE

AFGE Local 644

The election of Local 644 officers will be conducted by manual secret mail in ballot on 22 May, at 1200.

Offices to be filled by election are: President, Executive Vice President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer,

Vice Presidents (OSHA, WHD, MSHA (Metal/Non-metal/Tech), MSHA (Coal), OFCCP, OA, OWCP.

Qualifications for office are: be a member in good standing of this local; be a member for one year of an

AFGE local, immediately preceding the closing of the nomination process; not be a member in any labor

organization not affiliated with the AFL-CIO; candidates shall not run for more than one office in the

same local election. Unit VPs must be a member of the unit. The term of office is three years, ending

with the installation of officers following the regularly scheduled elections in December 2023. A runoff

election will be held at 1200 on 19 June 2021, if necessary. Installation at the same meeting will follow

the conclusion of the election.

Any member who has paid dues through 22 May 2021 is in good standing and eligible to vote.

Written requests for a replacement ballot should be directed to the election committee at PO Box 171,

Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934 or via email to justinhodges4@ (election committee chair), to

be received by the election committee by 1201 PM on 22 May 2021. Requests received later will be

honored; however, there is no guarantee that those ballots will be returned in time to be counted. All

ballots must be received at L644 Election, PO Box 4, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934 by 1201 PM on 22

May 2021.

All protests to the election must be in writing and received by the election committee prior to, during, or

within ten days after the election. This election is governed by the AFGE Rules of Conduct for an

Election, set forth in Appendix A of the AFGE National Constitution.
