JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

You will report to the Duty Manager and you will plan, administrate, co-ordinate and supervise children’s parties ensuring a fun and safe environment at all times.

You will work casually in our centres, usually at the weekends where parties commonly occur.

Job Activities

Service Delivery

1. Deliver consistent and exceptional Party service standards to customers.

2. Take pride in personal presentation, uniform clean and name badge worn.

3. Generate ideas to assist in developing the Birthday Party operations and product but also developing new ideas and initiatives for party games you deliver.

4. Work co-operatively, supporting the team in all aspects of the Centres operation.

5. Familiarise on your part the relevant working shift party structure.

6. Ensure the relevant party tea area is set up before the party commences. Including the set up of tables, chairs, and the party bags are ready.

7. Meet, welcome and greet the party, giving a brief overview about what will happen during the party, introduce yourself e.g. Name and Job title, point out key points relating to Health and Safety and make interaction with the Birthday Child.

8. Inform of where the party tea will be taking place and what time the party will be able to gain access to the facility, if they require the space for extra decoration, to store food, presents cake etc.

9. Accompany the party throughout their time at the centre and offer guidance according to the party type, assisting the parents and offering guidance of the centre and party where necessary.

10. Direct the party to the facility of where the activity is due to take place. Ensure children are changed and ready for their activity 5 minutes before it is due to start to ensure the structured format is followed so that all parties run to time.

11. Organise and supervise the party, ensuring a cost effective party is delivered which meets the needs of the customers.

12. Remain active and enthusiastic, with fun interaction with children throughout party.

13. Express frequent communication with the party parents to make sure that all expectation are being met and if possible exceeded.

14. Prepare and administer an organised activity with suitable games according to the party type and age group the party is catering for.

Communication

15. To engage in proactive and effective communication with staff and customers.

16. To assist in the communication and promotion of the centre's services.

17. Assist all customers who have queries complaints or require information, in a polite, friendly and helpful manner.

18. To make recommendations for improvements to the service and ensure feedback is communicated to the appropriate staff.

Staff Training

19. All staff within the Centre will take part in specific training programmes and an interest in their own personal development.

General

20. Maintain a professional attitude towards work and ensure operational procedures are adhered to at all times.

21. To comply at all times with SLT’s Disciplinary Policy.

22. Take reasonable steps at all times to ensure the health and safety of yourself, other staff and members of the public who may be affected by your actions or omissions at work.

23. Undertake such other related duties as may be allocated from time to time by the Management Team.
