To be responsible for the successful delivery of individual products and services to ensure achievement of the objectives of the OneWeb project and University strategy (e.g. prospective student user journey). Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities% TimeAgile project management and delivery Effectively deliver complex, high-impact, digital products and services as part of the OneWeb project, using the appropriate Agile project management methodology, learning and iterating frequently.Define multiple and overlapping products to be delivered and set out how they will be delivered based on Agile methodology. Work closely with Product Owners to define the roadmap for any given product and translate this into user stories and services. Assign appropriate resource within the team(s) and oversee the work through to successful on-time delivery for each activity.Ensure all products are built to meet the project’s consistently high standards as well as the University’s and external regulators’ compliance requirements.Manage conflicting priorities and overcome issues and blockages within the project to maintain successful delivery.Identify and lead on resolving the complicated risks, issues and dependencies, including where ownership exists outside the team or no clear ownership exists; escalating to the Head of Delivery as appropriate.Provide expert advice and guidance on the Agile approach within the Delivery teams.30 %Planning and prioritisationManage key risks, budgets, resources and people in order to deliver agreed outcomes and benefits and to report progress and issues to through the appropriate governance boards. Lead a continuous planning process in a very complex environment with multiple internal stakeholders, including contingency planning and the strategic road map and planning beyond product delivery. Lead a collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising work that needs to be done within the capacity and capability of your teams.Identify dependencies in plans across all digital services and coordinate with the other Delivery Managers.25%Team management and communicationsLine manage a large multidisciplinary team including Business Analysts, User Researchers, Technical Architects and external suppliers; coaching, mentoring, motivating and performance managing the team to take positive action and accountability for their own workloads and their personal and professional development.Optimise delivery by creating a fast-paced and innovative working environment and continuously reflecting and challenging the delivery teams to deliver to the highest quality.Identify issues through Agile health-checks with the team and ‘course correct’ to ensure overall delivery remains on track.Engage in varying types of feedback and lessons learned activity, choosing to apply the most appropriate actions to ensure issues are designed out of the delivery process where possible.Support each team’s capability development cycle, to ensure appropriate skills remain available.
