PLANNED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE (PMS) FOR DAMAGE CONTROL/FIRE FIGHTING (DC/FF INSTALLED SYSTEMS/PORTABLE EQUIPMENT)

PMS REQUIREMENTS - MAN HOURS - QUARTERLY SCHEDULE

This maintenance plan was developed by NAVSEA after review of U.S. Navy Shipboard Planned Maintenance Schedules (PMS) on DC/FF equipment and related systems. The schedule also incorporates the equipment and fittings (structure/portable) that will or could be utilized during test/training evaluation or Navy Reserve training evolutions. Use the Equipment Guide List (EGL) and DC AEL Locator for detailed quantities and stowage locations.

Notes:

1. All equipment should be stowed after use.

2. Batteries should be removed at end of exercises, training and test/evaluation.

3. This does not include the 48 M for fire hose hydro or the SCBA cylinder requirement at 72 M for re- hydro. TASS must determine current hydro dates on all hoses/cylinders.

4. If the DCETF air bag system is not being utilized, then the air bag check can be extended to six months.

5. The 173.5 man hours per quarter is the requirement for an up and operating facility. 161.5 man hours are required, when not using the air bag system.

6. The fire hose hydro pump motor requires repairs.
