TRADITIONAL AIR NATIONAL GUARDCOMMISSIONING OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTCLOSING DATE: 27 Nov 2019POSITION TITLE: 108th Mission Support Group Commissioned OfficerMILITARY GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Commissioning OpportunityLOCATION: 108th Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ 08234AREA OF CONSIDERATIONAll qualified military enlisted members currently assigned to the 108th Wing or 177th Fighter Wing and non-prior service civilians interested in joining the military as an officer will have the opportunity to apply to a selection board to convene on 6-8 December 2019 & 10-12 January 2020 for the purpose of becoming a commissioned officer. The intent of the convening board is to identify individuals with the aptitude to serve as officers in the 108th Mission Support Group. Following the board, commanders in the 108th Mission Support Group will receive the list of top candidates. Placements will be made based on mission requirements. Applicants will have the opportunity to accept or decline offers without prejudice.Anticipated openings include the following positions:Civil Engineer Officer– 32ELogistics Readiness Officer – 21RContracting Officer – 64PForce Support Officer – 38FCyberspace Operations Officer – 17DSecurity Forces Officer – 31PPRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS? Bachelor’s Degree? Air Force Officer Qualifying Test accomplished by 12 November 2019 to receive scores by 27 November 2019. Candidates require a minimum score of?15 Verbal and 10 Quantitative.? Age 18-40 years old at time of appointment. Waivers or restrictions may apply.? Medical Condition. For non-prior service applicants, medical appointments at a Military Entry Processing Station (MEPS) will be scheduled through Recruiting.? Physical Condition. All applicants must meet the fitness requirements of AFI 36-2905, Fitness Program, to include height and weight standards.? Moral Conduct. AF Form 24, Application for Appointment as Reserve of the Air Force or USAF without Component4. For current military members: current Report on Individual Personnel (RIP) from vMPF, no older than 60 days5. College Transcripts: unofficial transcripts are acceptable in the interim. For non-prior service applications, a 3.8 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for non-technical degrees or a 3.5 GPA for technical degrees.6. For current military members: Last three Performance Reports, as applicable7. Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) Scores, or documentation of planned test date/location before 12 November 2018.8. Letter of Intent to apply for any applicable waivers9. Following the interview portion, a pool of potential commissioning candidates will be formed for selection to specific positions. Selection to the pool does not guarantee placement. Applicants selected for the CY20 pool who are not selected to fill a specific position initially may be placed later in the CY without reapplying. If not placed within CY20 applicants we be required to re-compete in subsequent boards to continue eligibility for placement. ................
