Use this worksheet for vent condensing applications, or for any condensing application where the process stream contains non-condensible components (such as air or nitrogen).

|Required Recovery (90%, 20lb/hr condensate, etc.) 3 | |N/A |
|Pressure (psig) (vent condensers usually 0.5 psig) | | |
|Allowable Pressure Drop (psi) | | |
|2 Either the total vent gas flow OR the tank fill rate must be indicated. |
|3 Either the required vent gas outlet temperature OR the required recovery must be indicated. |
Properties
Properties are required only for uncommon fluids, such as polymers, heavy hydrocarbons (e.g. asphalt), oils, and proprietary fluids. Common fluids include water, common solvents (e.g. acetone), light hydrocarbons (C1 - C6), and most industrial heat transfer fluids (e.g. Syltherm, Dynalene, Mobiltherm, Therminol, etc.).

|Most common configuration. |Tube bundle and baseplate are the same as VCON, |Ideal for corrosive vapors or any application |
|Mounts directly on existing flange of any size. |but supplied with no casing. |requiring special metallurgy. |
|Allows condensate to return directly to tank. |Smallest VCIN units require minimum 8” vent |Allows condensate to be piped to a separate |
| |flange. |tank. |
Preferred Configuration: VCON VCIN VCT
If VCON or VCIN, please indicate vent size.
