|7. |MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: |

| |The Operational Dispatcher (OD) role is responsible to the Airside Manager for coordinating and affecting the aircraft turnaround |

| |process the coordination and dissemination of operational information to all relevant parties, ground handling data recording and |

| |the production of accurate weight and balance load sheets in line with company, airline and IATA standards. |

|8. |MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |

| |The Operational Dispatcher role has two distinct functions: |

| |To act as the Information HUB to the airport operation, taking in all relevant information across the range of operational |

| |disciplines and taking action on or disseminating that information so as to achieve the goals of the business as a whole in that |

| |they will: |

| |Ensure all relevant operational information provided by outside agencies through whatever medium is acted upon or disseminated |

| |accurately in a timely manner. |

| |Maintain the airport operational database management system (Airlink), ensuring that the latest flight information is available to |

| |all other users and ensure that all flight and aircraft handling records are accurate. |

| |Coordinate and chair the operational daily morning meeting with the respective terminal supervisors to ensure any departmental |

| |issues are raised and overcome as not to impact on the operational day ahead. |

| |To be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the aircraft turnaround process from arrival to departure in that they will: |

| |To maintain an effective but flexible stand plan and react to changing circumstances as appropriate. |

| | |

| |Ensure that all personnel and equipment are allocated correctly for the turnaround process. |

| | |

| |Meet arriving aircraft allocated to them and liaising with the aircraft captain or cabin crew over all aspects of the aircraft |

| |turn-around process as necessary. Continuing that process to achieve a timely departure of the aircraft including clear |

| |communication with the gate agent. |

| | |

| |For appointed airlines, produce accurate weight and balance load sheets in accordance with company, airline and IATA standards or |

| |for other designated airlines coordinate the information required for a third party to generate an automated load sheet from a |

| |Centralised Load Control remote location. |

| | |

| |To prepare flight crew documentation e.g. weather, NOTAM upon request. |

| | |

| |Maintain good liaison with all airport departments in accordance with 8a. |

|8.1 |In addition to the above, the Operational Dispatcher will be required to: |

| | |

| |Ensure that safe working practices and standard operating procedures are followed at all times in line with the company safety |

| |management system as detailed within Aerodrome Manual Part B – Safety Management System. |

| |To ensure all accidents, undesirable events and incidents are reported in the line with the procedure detailed within the Aerodrome|

| |Manual Part B Section 6. |

| |To assist the Airside Manager activating the Airport/Airline station emergency procedures, when appropriate and terminal evacuation|

| |procedures as published in the relevant manuals. |

| |Carry out any other reasonable operational task requested by the Senior Management Team. |

| |To ensure all relevant operational information provided by airlines, SITA messages such as estimated arrival/departure times, |

| |passenger information including passenger reduced mobility is added to the company airport operational database system and sent to |

| |airlines and destination airports as required. |
