-Oral—Tell the story through one of the following: character, theme, symbols, language—not the plot.

-Do not focus on the plot.

-Did you learn anything from the book?

-Strengths and weaknesses of the work.

This is not “I liked the book because . . .”

-Maximum 10 minute presentation.

-You must have a hand out for each student that includes: title, author, list of important characters, setting and plot outline.

• Written responses

-How does this connect and/or reflect the life and times of the author?

-List the main characters. How does each change throughout the book? Give page numbers w/ the examples.

-Write a compelling quote from each chapter, telling:

o page number

o why you find it compelling

o who is speaking

• Remember to include a bibliography using MLA format
