Consequentially, do your best to be in attendance and be on time.Coursework Evaluation CriteriaFormative (Daily Assignments or Inquiry Labs): 8% of the Final GradeOn each formative task, you are expected to complete EVERY problem and SHOW WORK. It is essential that you also check your homework in class and ask questions to be successful. Not every formative task will be collected and worth a grade.Assignments that are collected will be checked for accuracy and that work is shown. Points are assigned based on the proportion of correctly completed problems that I grade. You may turn in late assignments. But, I will repeat that it is essential that you are completing and checking work at the pace of the class in order to be successful. Late assignments are accepted until we move on to the next unit (test day of the current unit).Summative (Quiz or Test Assessments): 72% of the Final GradeQuizzes will occur approximately once a week. Quizzes cannot be retaken.Tests will be given at the end of each chapter. It is vital that students are prepared for tests, but… Test retakes are possible per teacher discretion. Test retakes are mandatory for failing test scores (below 60%).Students must have all assignments completed for the unit to gain the right to retake. Only one retake chance per assessment. Retakes must be completed before the finish of the next unit.Exam (Common Assessment): 20% of the Final GradeStandard Lapeer Schools Grading Scale93 – 100A73 – 76C90 – 92A-70 – 72C-87 – 89B+67 – 69D+83 – 86B63 – 66D80 – 82B-60 – 62D-77 – 79C+Below 60FAbsent or Missing WorkIf absent, you are responsible for getting your absent work and making it up in the appropriate time period.
