All About Me Bag: Instructions

Before the First Day of School:

1. Prepare the "All About Me" Bags by printing the labels and stapling them to paper sacks, as shown below.

2. Create your own "All About Me" Bag to model to the class the expectations, as well as to help your students get to know you better.

Staple labels to paper sacks.

On the First Day of School:

1. Show students your "All About Me" Bag, and present it to the class.

2. Give each student their own bag as their very first homework assignment.

When students return with their bags, have them present them to the class one at a time. Allow students to ask questions about the items in the bag.

Choose 3 objects that you would like to use to describe yourself to the class. When you are choosing objects,

make sure:

1. All 3 objects fit in the bag. 2. All 3 objects are school appropriate. 3. None of the objects are very valuable. 4. The objects reflect what is important to you.

After you have chosen your objects, then decorate your bag. Bring it back tomorrow, with the objects, to share

with the class!
