6.43 Resolved the following issues: Date: 01-19-2011

Microchip TSHARC Windows XP (32/64-bit), Windows 7 (32/64-bit) Universal Driver, Release 6.43

1. EEPROM Corruption There are known issues with TSHARC EEPROM stability on older driver versions. This corruption can cause extreme delays during calibration or system load, as well as loss of calibration.

2. Controller EnableDisable Failure While the driver is communicating with the controller it places the controller in a disabled state. After communications, a controller enable command is transmitted. Incomplete validation of the controller response could lead the driver to identify the controller as enabled when it was disabled, thus causing a loss of touch functionality.

3. Slow EEPROM Communications The firmware would call multiple sequences of Enable/Disable during controller communications, as well as reading entirety of EEPROM data. The driver has now been optimized to minimize communications redundancies.

4. Reboot Required During Uninstall

Uninstall has been modified to only require rebooting in a minimum number of scenarios. It is now much less likely to be required.

5. USER Permissions Could Not Access TSHARC Control Panel TSHARC Control Panel has been updated to allow nonadministrators to perform Calibrations.

6. Numerous additional bug fixes and stability improvements have also been implemented.
